Bringing our full fibre broadband to Frinton

Residents in Frinton-on-Sea, Great Holland, Kirby Cross, Kirby le Soken and Walton-on-the-Naze will be able to connect to our ultrafast 1 gigabit broadband later this summer as our build progresses at ‘light speed’ across the region.

Deputy Cabinet Member and Essex County Councillor for Frinton & Walton Division, Mark Platt, and Tendring District Councillor for Frinton Ward and Chairman of Planning Policy & Local Plan Committee, Nick Turner, met with our team at one of our build locations in Frinton-on-Sea recently. They saw first-hand how we’re laying our high-capacity fibre optic network and installing underground boxes - instead of green street cabinets - to house our network equipment under the streets, helping to minimise the impact on the local environment.

Councillor Nick Turner commented: “I am pleased that LightSpeed has chosen Frinton for the latest roll-out of their ultra-fast broadband. It adds another string to Frinton’s bow and gives the town more choice.”

Gareth Davies, our Business Development Director said: “We were delighted to welcome Cllr Mark Platt and Cllr Nick Turner to our build location in Frinton to demonstrate how we’re rolling out our 1 gigabit full fibre broadband network sustainably and efficiently across the town, and the region. As a regionally based business, our aim is to become the East of England’s leading broadband provider and to focus investment in towns in the region, like Frinton, unlocking the digital potential of the region.”

We’re also rolling out our network in nine other Essex towns including Braintree, Clacton-on-Sea, Halstead, Harwich, Maldon, Manningtree, Witham, Wivenhoe and Woodham Ferrer. To check our availability in your town, click here.
