Our full fibre broadband is arriving at ‘light speed’ in Thetford and Dereham!

Thousands of homes and businesses in Thetford and Dereham will be able to connect and experience super smooth upload and download speeds of 1 Gigabit (1000 Mbps) in the Autumn as our build progresses across Norfolk.

We recently invited the leader of Breckland Council, Councillor Sam Chapman-Allen and Assistant Director for Economy and Growth at Breckland Council, Andrew Holdsworth, to see our progress first-hand at one of our build sites in Thetford. They were also able to see how we lay our network by installing underground boxes instead of using green street cabinets to minimise the impact on the local environment.

Leader of Breckland Council, Sam Chapman-Allen commented: “It is fantastic to see LightSpeed Broadband making such great progress. Clearly, they’ve recognised the potential of our growing towns, and I’m delighted that they are investing in installing modern technology which will offer speedy internet access for local homes and businesses.”

Our Chief Customer Officer, Joanne King, said: “As a regional business, we aim to become the East of England’s leading broadband provider and focus investment on towns like Thetford and Dereham, to unlock their digital potential. We are excited that we will be connecting residents very soon!”

We are live in King’s Lynn, adding more homes there each week and also working to bring our network to five other towns across Norfolk including: Downham Market, Fakenham, Hunstanton, Cromer and Sheringham.
