Bringing broadband happiness to Harwich

We are delighted that homes and businesses in Harwich can now connect to our network. On a mission to provide broadband happiness with a first-class service, we offer a price freeze promise so customers can experience Gigabit broadband speeds with fair and transparent pricing.

With 25 towns live across the region, our full fibre network is available in eight towns in Essex. Homes and businesses in Braintree, Clacton-on-Sea, Maldon, Frinton, Halstead and Harwich, Witham and Wivenhoe have access to symmetrical upload and download speeds of 1 Gigabit (1000 Mbps) per second*. Working from home, streaming online entertainment, real-time gaming, uploading large files, and video calling can all take place at the same time regardless of how many devices are connected at once with no buffering, lag or dropouts.

Our price freeze promises ‘broadband that shifts at prices that don’t’ and assures customers that fair and transparent pricing means they will always benefit from brilliant broadband at a great price. This means that prices will not rise during or at the end of any contract until at least 2025.

Councillor Mark Platt, Deputy Cabinet Member and Essex County Councillor for Frinton & Walton Division, said: “It is fantastic that residents in Harwich can now access gigabit broadband and take advantage of improved connectivity and the latest technology. LightSpeed’s commitment to the East of England ensures that towns in Essex do not get left behind and share in these benefits.”

Chris Holkham, Delivery Director at LightSpeed Broadband said: ““We are thrilled that customers in Harwich can now connect to our full fibre network and experience the benefits of the latest digital Gigabit broadband. As a regionally based internet service provider, we are very proud of how our service has been received and the opportunities this digital connectivity will bring to residents, businesses and the wider economy across the East of England.

Residents are encouraged to register to be the first to hear when their home or business can access the network.”

Our package includes a Nokia-engineered LightSpeed Hub with the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology for better coverage. Additional Nokia Wi-Fi 6 Beacons are also available to create an in-home Wi-Fi mesh-system which extends the signal around the home. Customers can manage their Wi-Fi network with a free Nokia app and add parental controls as necessary.
