Hello Stowmarket, we’re now live in your town!

We’re excited to announce that more than 6,500 properties in Stowmarket will be able to connect to our full fibre network and access Gigabit broadband, twenty-five times faster* than the average speeds currently available in the area and five times more reliable than standard fibre broadband.

We started the roll out of its fibre network in Stowmarket, along with another Suffolk town of Haverhill, last year. Committed to transforming communities with Gigabit-capable fibre to the premises (FTTP) broadband, more than ten towns now live. Our network is expanding across the East of England and more towns in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex will be added in the coming months.

With super smooth symmetrical upload and download speeds of 1 Gigabit (1000 Mbps) per second, working from home, streaming online entertainment, real-time gaming, uploading large files, and video calling can all take place at the same time regardless of how many devices are connected at once with no buffering, lag or dropouts.

John Search, A LightSpeed Broadband customer based in Spalding, commented on TrustPilot: “What can I say, Spalding and 1gbps internet people would chuckle. My colleagues chuckle and they live in London and now envious! Mark and Brian arrived, super friendly, explained the installation steps and the job was complete promptly, once installed they both explained what they had done and answered my granular questions. Very happy, speeds do fluctuate but I'm sure that will stabilise. Cheers guys!”

Chris Holkham, Delivery Director at LightSpeed Broadband said: ““We are thrilled that customers in Stowmarket can now connect to our full fibre network and experience the benefits of the latest digital Gigabit broadband. As a regionally based internet service provider, we are very proud of how our service has been received and the opportunities this digital connectivity will bring to residents, businesses and the wider economy across the East of England.

Residents are encouraged to register to be the first to hear when their home or business can access the network.”

Our packages start from £24.95 per month for a 24-month contract* including a Nokia engineered Wi-Fi 6 LightSpeed Hub. There is a £30 one-off home setup fee, and optional Nokia Wi-Fi 6 Beacons are £80 each.  Once your order is placed, you can expect to be connected within 10 days. For more information, click here.
