What we need you to do

Lightspeed Broadband are looking for a strong and determined PIA Manager experience of telecoms rollouts to join a leading fibre-to-the-premises, open access broadband provider. You will be a proven PIA Manager that has the ability to own full PIA Compliance both internally and externally with BTOR, meet challenging targets and achieve set business KPI’s to support delivery of homes passed, RFS and projects contained within operations.

 

What we need from you

In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience.

· Overseeing and coordinating activities related to the physical infrastructure deployment and maintance.

· Manage a team of PIA coordinators and seniors to nsure competent in desk-based PIA processes and understand the PIA product decription.

· Oversee compliance of network and installation build quality standards (SPO), ensuring the physical infrastructure meets the highest standards.

· Support the setup and development of processes of PIA and As-Built Documentation.

· Ensure timely submission of information and requirements related to PIA.

· Liaise directly with infrastructure providers (e.g., Openreach) for data exchange, order placement, and network adjustments.

· Lead and guide the PIA team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

· Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and regialtory bodies to facilitate smooth infrastructure deployment.

· Address any challenges related to access, permissions, or compliance.

· Monitor the quality of network installations and ensure adherence to industry standards.

· Implement corrective actions when necessary.

· Oversee and manage the PIA processes, including the coordination of access to ducts, poles and other physical infrastructure.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Openreach policies

· Attend regular PCG meetings with Openreach and keep abreast of regular changes and updates.

· Act as the main point of contact for telecom providers accessing Openreach infrastructure.

· Facilitate smooth and efficient access, addressing any issues promptly

· Manage the candid portal, responding efficiently to queries

· Monitor and report on PIA activities, including compliance, and any incidents

· Manage and direct PIA team, holding daily meetings and ensuring the desk rate remains at a high % with Openreach

· Maintain PTC at National Level with Openreach and keep good relationships with our direct contacts.

  • Experience:

    · At least 5 years’ experience in an infrastructure sector e.g. construction, telecoms, and engineering with a PIA compliance environment

    · Strong experience of commercial, contract, risk management

    · Experience and sound understanding of PIA methodologies

    · Cost and commercial management;

    · Risk management;

    · Information management.

    · Demonstrable experience successfully managing significant projects / programmes;

    · Experience of working to tight deadlines and meeting funding and operational targets;

    · Experience of dealing with projects that impact on the general public and other stakeholders;

    · Experience of compiling clear and concise technical and non-technical reports;

    · Strong evidence of people management skills;

    · Skilled in using industry standard project management tools and technology.

    · You will have experience managing supply partners, board approved budgets, construction, and fibre networks.

    · Proven track record in delivering and policing medium to large multi-site FTTP projects

    · Experience on recovering SPO money from BTOR.
