We’re now connecting customers in Boston, Spalding and Stamford
We’re delighted to announce that thousands of homes and businesses in Boston, Spalding and Stamford are now able to connect to our full fibre, 1 Gigabit per second (1000 Mbps) broadband.
We kick-started our full fibre roll-out in April this year in ten towns currently underserved by the larger national broadband providers, across South Lincolnshire and West Norfolk. Our network delivers an ultrafast internet connection – it’s twenty-three times faster and five times more reliable than the average broadband currently available across the East of England.
More homes in Boston, Spalding and Stamford are being added to the network each week and next year residents in Bourne, Holbeach, King’s Lynn, Long Sutton, Market Deeping, Skegness and Sleaford will also be able to connect.
Paul from Stamford, said: “Blisteringly fast speeds and perfect customer service. I’ve always been with the likes of BT, or Plusnet, but since signing up to LightSpeed, a local provider, I'd never go back. The service and support is so much more personalised and bespoke, and as for the speeds, there’s nothing quite like it! Now I can watch Netflix in 4K instantly with no buffering, have Zoom meetings with no lag, and download games to the PS5 in mere minutes!”
Our Chief Customer Officer, Joanne King, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be connecting customers in Boston, Spalding and Stamford to our full fibre Gigabit broadband network. It’s the future of broadband and provides residents with the fastest, smoothest internet connection and local customer service from our base in Spalding.
It will mean the whole family and all their devices can be online at once, so home working, streaming online entertainment, high speed gaming, and video calling can be achieved simultaneously with no buffering, lag or drop-outs! Our Wi-Fi 6 LightSpeed Hub has been designed to work with gigabit speeds and deliver customers a brilliant Wi-Fi experience throughout their home.”
On a mission to reach 1 million homes by 2025 and to become the region’s leading provider, our build has also started in an additional fifteen towns across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
